Your on Mike. Lol
I didn't mean to offend you just curious those KY buggies weigh 1300+ with vw power. And by the way you have heavier tires, beam, torsion, and a little more tubing than me.

It's all good Terry. Gravity must work a little different in KY than the rest of the world. Unless I see a weight slip, I don't believe anybody's weights and I probably won't believe it with a slip.
I don't know about the more tubing thing, maybe in the back, that was out of necessity. Heavier beam, yes I do and as far as the rear torsion, mine is considerably lighter than VW. The tires can be replaced with 'stones and the fiberglass can be removed, lighter and lighter some more. I thought the s/c ecotec weighed more than the Subie does?

the proof is in the pudding. this weight was my car only in 2009, no riders or beer cooler.
I'm sure it weighs more now from misc. reinforcement.

I'd say gross was truck, trailer and buggy. Then tare was truck and trailer. Net would be what was removed or the buggy. The buggy weight is the the net weight.

You know we are not all rocket scientist? The weight of the buggy figures in less when A- you know how to wheel it, B- you have no fear.

Never thought of that  I was approached by Norfolk Southern RR to build some locomotives for them and that is a 4" exhaust, it provides a unique sound.

I think you ought to weld a pindle hitch on the back of that thing. Sorry about missing the exhaust diameter should have compared it to the tubing. Did you use 0.95 on the bracing and 1.20 wall on the main tubes.

I used .095 on the main tubes, .062 on the bracing and the original frame, what's left of it is all .062. I used .120 on the under bars where I knew it was going to take a pounding and the front shock towers are .120.

The quality of the workmanship is impressive. I like you enjoy designing and building my own chassis. I learn something new on every build. Looks like you are close to sending it off to the powder coater.
