I seriously considered this last year or so.Now try to think positive and don't hate me. A mid 1998 Passat and up has a front wheel drive set up with a 230+ hp motor in front followed by a high geared 5 speed trans that looks incredibly like a bus. Joints and axles already there.Take yours out of your buggy and drop that in with small tires.Oh behave!It will be weight distributed like a mid engine to prevent easy wheelies.With 5 gears you know they are closer ratio.The oil pressure rotates the cams to retard or advance.Read up on Passats if you really love VW's and want to save ALOT of money. |

I have thought of similar with suby. When the air cooled stuff runs out in a few decades we might see more of these contraptions. |
