It looks great. Glad you decided to tough it out and getter done. BTW your carb jetting is too lean. Thats why its surging and popping.

I finally got to put a few miles on the baja this weekend!!! I was hoping to get some offroad time in but I still have a few small issues to work out first.

Still having some minor problems with the carbs. Mostly idle stuff. Runs like a raped ape at WOT!

Its still not shifting as well as I would like. Gonna buy a new coupler this week. The old one got a little stripped out. Hopefully that will fix the problem.

The frontend likes to wander a bit on the street. Im hoping that wont be a big issue offroad. Still need to align the front-end, so maybe that will fix it.

Its getting close though. Gotta tag and insurance on it. Plan is to be in the woods next weekend running like crap or not!

Thats great news, Jim! I'm glad you decided to stick thru it and finish it. I'll bet you are glad now, too! 8)

Dont know if that front end issue will bother you in the sand or not, but in the woods it wont matter for sh!% so bring it up here!!

Check the caster.
It may need a shim.
