I am starting this thread to track my slow progress on my future BAJA Bug. I bought this BAJA last weekend for $450. It is a complete car except for the Engine. Pretty solid for a 1967. Needs a patch panel under the battery and that's it as far as rust goes. The rear package tray area has already been fixed. My plans are to keep it cheap and keep it fairly stock. It will be a street pounder, not for the woods. It may see an occasional dirt road or fire road but that's about it. I towed it home and fixed a couple of flat tires, then gave it a bath with 409 to wash off the green stuff that was growing all over it. I don't know how long this thing has been sitting but I believe it's been a while. The brake petal won't even move at all. Anyhow, I am excited about getting this thing going. Will be fun to tool around in.

anyone that knows Roy knows that this will not stay "stock" for very long... this bug will soon work its way to perfection and excellence and I can't wait to see it all unravel!

Yea, I definitely agree with Jeff on this one. Looks like it'll be a blast of a project, Roy! And a KILLER deal. I'd gladly give you your money back for it!
