Sorry gasman not been online for a few days.

Well the day started great the bolted tires rocked!! but on the second hill i climbed about halfway up the stub axle on the yota diff came out causing the chain to come off and damaged two sprockets and the chain.
I've not even got it off the trailer yet ,kinda tired of working on it and frustrated with it ,thinking about trashing the chains and going with a th350 for the lower gear . I just hate to strech the wheel base with the th350 its about 3.5 " longer then the pg and with losing the chains it will put the wheel base from 101 now to about 108-110.
I beleive the chain drive may work but i'd need to make something to take the pressure off the diff, still thinking on it..

Later..

Just tossing an idea out there for ya WB. Not sure how but make a shaft coming off of the diff sprocket to another bearing so it takes the twist out of it under load. Sorry havn't had autocad in about 10 years, but here's my idea, kinda,

The v6 is only 200 hp but the torque is what counts its 265.

And yes I thought about a v8 but the weight versus power and torque and money didnt seem worth it , in stock form that is.
If or when i do an upgrade it will be a turbo suby or an all aluminum v8 , maybe when the kids get grown lol..

a procharger is an easy and reliable way to make real good power on just about anything...

what size and thickness box tube did you use on the rear trailing arms? I am thinking of making my new buggy have chains inside the arms and yours seem to be a good design on what im thinking of doing...

hopefully you get it lined out

I used 1.25 tubing 1/8 thick for the arms.

I borrowed some boggers from a friend for the hillclimb, got the bolts back on now and we're gonna tear it up tommorow.
