Post subject:  MRT Carbon Fiber Wheels
carbon fiber beedlock weels what do you guys think...my buddys run them on the front of there 2400 lbs blown alky mud cars and i'v seen one guy run them on a full size mud bog truck..and i have set so i wanted use them on my buggy...just wanted to see if any one ran them or has ran them...will they hold up in the woods...?

I tried them once...lasted about half a day and I broke one on a rock.

i"ve seen plenty of them, and seen plenty of them break. if you could still buy them or parts for them it would be better, but if you break the outter piece, good luck finding another! A good set of centerlines are stronger, and just about as light.

this is my first buggy and it only has a 1641 and it dose ok..its got me up any thing i wanted to climb..i'v got 31 15.5 15 terras on steal weels just looking to cut some lbs with stuff i have..what is a good light strong wheel that not going to cost a arm and a leg..?

i seen a set of brand new carbon fibers last about 3 hrs in the woods one day, spend your money on a good set of alum. wheels.

These may be a little pricey, but once you buy them, you will never have to get another set again for a long time IMO.

These are the wheels I went with, 3 piece with beadlock 255 each shipped to my door. You can order any offset you want and if you damage one you can buy just the piece you need and bolt it back together.

check with local dirt track racers. my uncle works in the dirt track industry and got me my aluminum wheels for 30 bucks a piece. ones a little messed up, but neither has EVER leaked any air out, which is unheard for them. deals are out there, look around.

We don't all have baddvw's money :twisted: :lol:
