I am happy to say that my buggy is back together and ready for Wheelers.. Last place... here I come   Special thanks to kybuggy for lending me the tranny.

So.. what do you look over or check before you go riding?

Here is the list of things I check before I go riding..
All Lug Nuts
CV bolts
Pivot bolts
Link Pin
Shake all engine components (Coil, Carb, MSD, etc..)
Front and Rear Bearing (Jack it up and shake the wheel)
Look for any frame cracks

I think that is about it... Any other ideas..

Brake inspection, batt and starter conections, oil and water on a w/c and hardware on steering. you ac guys should check your plugs and wires and maybe your jets and air filters based on maintenace i see done on trips. alt belts wouldnt hurt either.

All of the above and all major bolts, shift linkage, air pressure, end play (air cooled), and befor a race I go quite a bit deeper like tear down carbs to clean bowls, look at the grease in all wheel bearings to check for signs of water, inspect and regrease cvs before every other race.

Yeah, them plug wires fall off AC motors pretty easy when someKID pulls them loose for you. Weird how I never seen an MSD wire fall off and suddenly 3 diferent buggies have that very same problem at the same event  .

Who is the dude that has the automatic buggy that is pretty sharp on his VW stuff? I heard that he can disable a buggy for 5 bucks and he tries to disable Larry's buggy on the trailer at D&K with me and Larry standing near his buggy    maybe that is the mystery behind all of this

I have been telling them that for 2 years now. Every time they tell me I do not need a strap. But funny thing they seem to need them more than the ones that have them. Many many times I have let some borrow my hand saw, after this weekend after it got dulled it will cost $25.00 to borrow it.  So I can buy a new one when they decide to cut the dirt and rock with it.

Corona brand hand saws seem to cut the best and stay pretty good for awhile as long as you keep it outta he dirt. I like the straight handle ons but all I can find anymore is the ones that fold up. Home Depot has 'em. Same blade I think.
