We use an electric pump from a Peugeot 106, a valve on the column from a Vauxhall corsa, and then fed into the ram.
4 short hoses, 2 wires, and you can put the pump where you like

I need to know what to get from engine to rack. Engine is VW 2500, good off road rack. I need to know everything that I need to get and ball park price for it. This includes brackets, hoses, pump and anything else I may need to make it work. Any help and used parts that are good would be appreciated. |

check on e-bay, i have seen stuff there before. I know charlyne make tons of torque generators, and certain ones are good, and other ones arnt. Drews sells them too. I got mine from a guy who got it off a fork lift, then I ran a 83 honda accord pump (fits nicly into a type 1) and with little modification, it worked flawlessly! I'm just about done with my woods buggy, and made most of the power steering setup on that so other than the lines, it was pretty much free! but it was ALOT of work. http://www.woodsbuggy.com/index.php?opt ... a&start=50 |

If you go to the home page on woodsbuggy.com and click on the Blind Chicken racing tab,,you will find a "how to" page,,click on power rack mod. it gives detailed instuctions on how to use a power rack for a 1995 beretta and is a cheap way to go!..then install your pump and hoses and you should be good to go ! |

Rack and pump from an old Grand Am and hoses made at NAPA pretty cheap way to go. Not too hard to make your own bracket for the pump that bolts on to your alternator stand studs. Rack fits like it was made for a buggy. No need to take it apart . You can use these racks without power too and they work well. I've heard later cavaliers fit a buggy pretty good too, and I think they are endsteer. |
