My brother Brian is thinking about trading for this rail. He’s not really sure where he’s going to ride it yet but his whole family is big time into motocross and he said he would like to take it around some motocross tracks.

It is set up for a Hayabusa 1300 that he will need to purchase to finish it.

He asked me to see what you guys think.

Depends on what he's trading. There are over 2 grand in shocks alone.

It would be a great Buggy for the Dunes and cross country racing. The standard Motocross tracks would not be a good place to use it, been there done that and its not fun. One of the guys I ride pilots with broke his back on a Motocross track. The Hyabusa motor is a common power plant in the Mini Buggy arena. He would not be dissapointed with the power they produce.

Hi I am Brads (Hillaholic) brother Brian,

I taught Brad how to hill climb and roll LOL. One time at wellsville he even tried to pull me out of a hole and rolls me and my son over while pulling us out. I use to ride wellsville and hillsville. Now that my kids are into Motocross for the last 6 years thats all we do every weekend.So I don't get to use them much, in fact not once in the last 2 years. I can get a deal on this buggy by trading a dirtbike and some cash. The guy says he has $15,000 in it as it sits with no motor, seats or pedals and shifter. By trading the bike and cash I can get it for about $5000-6000 total with cash and bike value. I am looking for something to race for fun at the motocross tracks against the side by side racers (rhino's, Razr and mules). This thing should smoke them power wise and suspension wise he says it can fit a standing full size garbage can under the floor with out it touching. I may take it to hillsville or walhounding hills but I am not going to pound it into trees and rocks like my VW rail buggies. Also would like to go to silverlakes dunes. What do you guys think???

If I get it I will be selling my other 3 rails.

1- short berrian with a 1641 and a whole bus torsion and 3 rib tranny
1- long berrian with an 1835 and a 6 rib and 2x3 trailing arms
1- new 4 seater with the pickup bed and a 1835 and a 3 rib - frame is still raw and have about everything to complete
also tons of spare parts and stock motors and some corvair powertrain stuff too.
would like to sell as a package if possible.

Nice toy but not for anything but sand. A Hyabusa puts out more power than most VW based engines so the car would not lack in power no matter if stock or modified...however, the rear arms lack the triangulation to let them survive in an eastern woods situation. Also notice the front spindles, very lightweight but combined with a power plant that can outperform most built VW's? Awsome toy but I think it would bring disappointment if one took it out of its naturally sandy enviroment.

Hell beef it up. Thats what we do to our frames isn't it? Looks like fun to me.

Bet that 'busa rail would do good at the uphill drag races,..er... I mean the ' hillclimb' competitions, if you softened it up real good and put some tree bars on it.

your goin to need more then a motor try and find a wreked bike iv got a ninja id sell cheap or try drag bike.com let me know if you need some thing from out of state we move bikes all the time and if you know some one who has a dealers lic.have them try copart going with a busa. is going to cost$$$$$may be a 89 to 92 gsxr 1100 lots of power and you could find a whole bike for about 2-3k good luck!

The only real downside on that rail that u cant adjust is that u have a posi rear end. On the sand ur traction stays fairly constant. As well as u dont have to dodge trees with mud covered front tires that wont grab. Sand is fun, but a little to safe for my taste, wife liked it.

got it done or almost done over winter
street legal and been driving it all over had to take one axle out for the street because it didn't like to turn, now it has major one wheel peel, doing 40mph and punch it, it will burn the tire off!!
still have to get a starter mounted for electric reverse
www.minibuggy.net has been a great help
still working out some bugs
