Post subject:  4 Seat Frame Suggestions

My wife "gave me permission" to build a four seater to accomodate our growing family. I've been looking around at frames but cant really decide on what I like. I'm not a big fan of the Berians. I really like the looks of the Predators, but I dont know any one who runs one. You guys got any suggestions on the good the bad and the ugly?
Thanx,
N8

I am glad to see more people building 4 seat buggy's.. This is becoming a family sport..

Several of us (including myself) have built the Berrien Sandfox but the predator 4X is also really nice.

Here is a link to a build thread of a 4 seat predator..

I have built a lot of buggys over the years .A few 4 seaters ,A ton of 2 seaters .But IMO that buggy of aboone993 is one sharp buggy .By far the best looking 4 play I have saw yet.The frame just looks good the way it flows. I don't know where he got it or what kind it is. like I said JMO

There are a bunch of Sandfox 4 Seaters on here and I agree that aboone993 has one of the best looking. I actually like his sandfox better than my own..

BMoore (Yellow Buggy) , Mickeymouse (Red Buggy) & Aboone993 (Gray Buggy) are all the same frame. Everyone has just added extra supports in different areas.

Get an old Cherokee or S10 Blazer and remove the doors and bust the windshield out. Boom , yer done.No need for an air freshener either.

PlumberBills is a sandfox also. So is mine. I wouldnt go out in the hills in anything without a cage, not with my family. Plus I would hate to give up my low center of gravity switching to a stock Jeep. JMO

How many kids and how old are they ? how tall are you ? kids can ride in the back of my buggy but an average size adult aint getting back there but i did set my front seats back to get more weight on the rear tires. Bad Influance has pics on here of a really cool bee line and A.cole has his predator on here . Just remember they all are quality frames so just get what YOU like ! and buid to your specs

And thanks for the kind words guys !

Take a look at my build and I have a few comments on the predator frame, overall good quality, could have done few things different. (mine was the first 4 seater from them) I'll have it out next weekend for the first time and will be able to have some more feeback. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the big name brands (berrien, beeline) or Predator. I think predator is the best bang for the buck just because they build each frame to your specs. I looked at getting a berrien sandfox but by the time I was going to raise the roof, widen it and add some bars I could have bought a roller  I'm also 6'3" and wanted suspension seats so I need the room. I'll let everyone know if I'm happy next week :D I'm located in SW Ohio ,feel free to come take a look.

Wow Guys, thanx for all the imput, I really appreciate it. I think Mr. Cole said it best when he said by the time I buy a Berrien, raise the roof, widen it, and add the extra supports, I can buy a roller instead. Most all the Berrian buggys in Michigan are built for the sand, not the woods, I like the "Southern Style" of riding alot better. (Hills and Woods) I'm a bigger guy, and safety for my family comes first, so I want a nice beefy buggy that will take the abuse and still protect my family.
My compliments Mr. Cole, your buggy looks spectacular.

Thanx, N8
