NO! Curt advised me to save ourselves the trouble and cost of entering a conventional buggy. That it was all about that 700 hp chain drive with 44 in. tires. My buggy is in a different playing field. In fact, it is an open hill climb. If you've got what it takes BRING IT!!!!
What kind of engine are you running on your conventional buggy?

Every buggy has it's place, and NONE excel at all types of climbing, imo. Some are better at rough ditchy terrain and some are better at climbing highwalls, some are better in deep mud, and some are better at racing. It all depends on what kind of riding you do the most of, imo. If the hill is somewhat smooth, then a high geared buggy may win. If it is real ditchy, then bigger tires might win. Everyone thinks theirs is the best, and that's cool. Mark Settles says his buggy will go with where anyone else's will, but who really knows. I wonder how it would do in Iceland? Every buggy has it's place..and it's limits. There is nothing at all with friendly competition, but the ultimate challenge to me is the hill itself, not because (insert name) either made it or didn't..

Since I can not make it to the hill climb, I am sending my GRANNY that will bring home the money. We called Leory to make sure she could bring her SINGLE SEATER AND HER 4X4. The single seater is a green single wheeled Wheelbarrow, and her 4X4 is a HOVEROUND it is red. Leory said she could also use football cleates for traction. We are going tomorrow to get them for her. :P

I hope that your grandmother is HOT, I can show her a little southern hospitality and how things are done in the south. You may want to send her with her oxygen mask, because you know that she will be breathing ALOT of my dust.

Well I saw the 1000 dollar hill on Sunday! All you KY boys just need to stay home. This is a Alabama hill........I'm not trying to rock on you, but its just too steep for your KY buggy's. I am still shocked at how big this thing is. Looks like them Alabama boys will be bringing home the GOLD this time.........

Chopper, c'mon buddy. Alabama is just widely known for its mountain ranges, aint it?
Ever heard of the Appalachian coal mining country? In KY, we plant tobacco & corn on what thay call mountains in Alabama. Those are just knolls to us.

Sure wish I was getting to do, would be a great time. Just ask that some one get some videos and post them on here. Maybe after I get to working I will be able to make some of these events.

Hear that , thats the sound of me blowing my own trumpet. Yes the firebug managed to hold second place for a good four minutes. I will let the others toot for themselves . The hill was easy even for me. but it had some real tight narrow turns that were full of powder that most buggy's pushed through. Many had remarkable times right up until the last turn and would have trouble making the last turn. It was more like a rally race than a hill climb. The big event of the day was admittedly when Cheeze buzzed the Southern Buggy Bvd with ease and all others were too intimidated to try. 8)
