Post subject:  bead locks

Its time to bead lock my aluminum wheels. any advise on witch locks to buy, and where to get them? rims are the two piece .125 thick off road ones. thanks for the help Rick

It might be cheeper to get the wide 5 dirt track wheels and just sell the ones you have now.

we had a great time. i just hope wes and charlie get there law suite over by the next time we go back. :wink: who was the wheels that you mentioned?

You can usually find some of those rims on Ebay. Search 'aluminum beadlock'. There are a few different brands, but they all seem to be decent. They are made for late model dirt track cars. Racingjunk.com has them listed sometimes, also.
Also Weld wheels sells them new, but they are proud of 'em. :wink:

So what do you need for the Dirt Track wheels to mount up? What kind of adapters? I have VW 5 lug to chevy 5 lug adapters already.

Pretty sure "Instigator" can hook you up, he has a banner ad on here. I have heard $100 for a pair of dirt track wheel adapters?...
