 Post subject: no compression?

this sunday will make 3 weeks rode it that sunday and came back out wednesday to go again and wouldent start took it to this local vw guy and he said it had no compression??

so that would be the rings right?
whos good at re-ringing a motor and bout what do they charge

It could be alot of things burnt valve,cracked cyclinder,head not sealing,cracked head...The list goes on an on
till you tear it down theres no way of telling

this weekend im gonna try to get it out of the buggy.

i know when i did get it started that day it ran for like a min. but was missing and when you came it gas it was like a fire ball i guess is what you can say shot out a few times so i just shut it off and it never started back

if the valves are too tight that could be it check that first

while the valve covers are off, check the head stud nuts. Have seen many of those loosen up on older engines.
