That sounds like you need to talk to "Babychains" Firebug for the little version. Or for the big buggys version, Rockrockets or check out Curt' site http://www.chaindriverail.com/

Hi . You have to seriously consider the Totally New Concept buggy page.Improve on it.But if you've got the money to go CD then I understand.

My version is a down scaled version,,not like the original . It is more bolt on but is limited to sprocket size. I have been working on this prototype for nearly 2 years now and it is getting close to a good system. I will get some pics later.

If you run 4.86 R&P and 14 and 24 tooth sprockets you can run 35's in second gear if you have the power . Do it with a midshift tranny, torsional axles, any tranny upgrades you can afford and it works fine..Better with inline 4 or 6 cylinder for weight bias because the tires are scooted back a foot from stock,,hard to do it closer. Mine won't climb like a lighter buggy but it does very well. I would recomend this set up to those running heavier engines. It is still in the prototype stage and many improvements will be made in time.
I am sure DD is onto something too, both ways take advantage of easily accessed engines,,,,just depends on you fabbing skills and bank account. Use everything you see to add to your own ideas. Nothing is gonna be an overnight task but hang in there and enjoy the build.

Hi yall Just got in from F'dale. To' it up all day (the dirt). We need to call a town hall meeting and stand around it and discuss improvements. We threw down today. For the money you can't touch it.It lit them cut tires up!(38's)I stood tall and I proclaimed it today!Won't beat a chain drive but it is the future in regular buggies.(205) 369-7406 Let's talk.Passat rules! Why can't I drop the 38's with 2nd and go back to 1st gear with some 44's?Somebody talk to me.
