at the expense of sounding like somebodys mother, mineral spirts works good, but you need to wear gloves since it is a carcinogen. they makes stuff that is safer but it's not cheap. my little girl had cancer when she was 2, so you cant help but know some of this stuff...

Something non flamable would be suggested.

There are specific fluids used for parts washers. I have tryed several different kinds and they are not made the same and have different charatures. One I tryed would eat rubber and if not cleaned of would leave a sticky residue. The stuff I use now is strong enough to do a good job and leaves no film. Its around $180.00 for a 55 gallon drum delivered. Most chemical companys carry washer fluids. Call one up in your area to see what they have to offer. They are your least expensive source. Most also offer there product in 5, 15, 30 and 55 Gallon Increments.

Gregg the Solvent is distributed by Kwik Clean in Cleveland. There number is 216-741-8080. The tag on the drum is no longer ledgeable. Tell them its the Blue stuff.

For a non solvent parts washer I really like ZEP 50. We have a heated tank parts washer at work that we use that stuff in it and its awesome. It will take off baked on oil stains and just about anything else petroleum based. Another great thing about it is its non flammable.

Gregg, It does not leave a film and does not give me a headache like most solvents after prolong use. It also does not burn my hands when I dont use gloves. It works well for all cleaning applications.
