I will bet my last dollar that this is the kid that has been breaking into all of our campers at Wellsville. Matter of fact, I know it is. My camper door has been torn apart, and the window has been busted two weeks ago. And when we confronted him and Dutch about breaking into our campers and messing shit up, that kid got real scared and ran off. Dutch just said that he wasn't the one. Ya, right. But I know for sure about the little kid, because last winter, one of the guys in our group was missing a pair of black carharts, and he saw that kid wearing them. Maybe now, he will be sitting in the jail house, getting it by Big Bubba, and we won't have to worry about our campers anymore. Hahaha.

A 16-year-old Wellsville boy accused of striking a Columbiana County deputy sheriff with a car earlier this month will face arraignment at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 3 in Juvenile Court.

A complaint was filed against the boy Tuesday by Deputy Steve Boyd, the officer who was injured after being struck July 5. According to the complaint, the charges if committed by an adult would be felonious assault, a first-degree felony, and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a fourth-degree felony.

The incident occurred on Old Irondale Road where Boyd and Det. Jeff Haugh were waiting for a domestic dispute suspect to drive by. A Geo Tracker-type vehicle sped by while they were waiting and when attempted to stop the driver, with Boyd pulling his cruiser in front of the vehicle while Haugh followed behind, both with lights and sirens activated.

The driver then attempted to back into Haugh's vehicle, then started forward again.

By this time, Boyd had exited his cruiser and the vehicle was coming in his direction.

He stiff-armed the vehicle as it traveled past him, knocking him into a ditch, then the pursuit continued, went off road and they called off the pursuit.

They were able to track down the vehicle and get the indentification of the driver. Two adults, Kent Mason, 43, and Dutch Morris, 19, both of Old Irondale Road, Wellsville, were charged with obstructing police business for denying the driver had been at their home, where the vehicle was being repaired.
