| Post subject: | Question |
I bought a drag fast shifter and when i install it into my shift rod it only goes into the socket say 1/4 inch if that, is there anyway to make the ball on the bottom of this shifter longer i went out tonight and drilled new holes in my shifter box to raise the bushing up so i could raise the rod up to have a better fit do you all think 1/4 is enough down in the socket or should i try to raise it up more or extend the ball on the shifter or just leave it the hell alone cause i was getting all my gears and reverse i just dont want it to come loose at 3 am in the middle of nowhere thanks again |

It looks like they make 2 different styles. I had a stock shifter that was too short but I don’t know what it came out of. You might have to send it back and get the longer one. Might want to try to contact scat and ask them. http://www.scatvw.com ![]() If you've got questions about VW Performance Scat has answers!
