Yeah, put 'em on, with a proportioning valve. No need for seperate handle on the street I wouldnt think.

ok i have disc on the back and dont have none on the front but i have a kit to put drums on the front whats your alls imput on this? can i use the drums with a 15 inch steel rim with the 3 rib tractor tires? or do any of you have a kit or some off a old bug you want to sell? im on the road like 80% of the time would you put them on it or what? |

Run disc brakes, well worth the extra $$$ You will never have to mess with them once it is setup right. |

Pretty big money if you got k/p spindles. At least 500 as far as I've seen. If you got b/j, or you weld b/j spuds to your k/p spindles, you can do it for less than 200 with used rotors and calipers, including seperate m/c and handle. Putting them on a seperate handle is a must in the hills, IMO. Larry |

IMO, for the woods, leave 'em off until you can get discs. Drums in front are useless when they get wet n muddy. |

Yes drums are COMPLETELY useless when the get wet and muddy. Take them off for the weight reduction until you put front disk on. I just run rear disk and they work fine for off-roadl. I wouldn't drive it on the street with just rear disk though. |

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G3905/ So you can independently control how much pressure is applied to front and rear brakes. Without one, your fronts will most likely lock up way before your rear brakes, and just slide, losing your ability to steer and increasing stopping distance. May not be as bad with drums, though.  Maybe try it without one first, you can always add one if necessary. Rails on the street are uncharted territory for me. There are many on here that would know better than me what works for streetrails.

There are many on here that would know better than me what works for streetrails.well truthfully my buggy aint street legal its just a starter buggy i guess you could call its its my first one aint had it 3 months its a 1600cc 3 rib trans with tractor tires on the rear been cut and the rib one on the front its a beeline cobra i usually ride around this hollows to get to close jobs and stuff like that but when me and my uncle was coming off a steep hill and the buggy started scootin with us so im wantin to get some kind for the front! but im just on the main road id say like 15 mins a day but its just a 2 lane country road never see many cops on it but when i do see them believe me i dont drag around cause they are mostly little young punk cops anyway
