I don't have time to go into all the detail but Bill is ok. He has a some stiches in his head and on the way home. It was a bad roll as you can see.

Oh my word!! Thank God he is alright. From the looks of his buggy, he had the right passenger with him today. I'll keep him in my prays.

glad hes ok. hope i have freinds like you guys around if something bad were to happen. the buggy group are a different kind of people never met one that would not lend a hand. and yes we all need to look at our roofs and the helmet thing is not a bad idea

This was by far the scariest thing I have ever witnessed. Bill was very, very fortunate to make it out of this wreck with as minor of injuries as he did. Safety is no joke, and by the amount of BAD wrecks we as a "buggy community" have experienced in just this past YEAR, hopefully we are all taking a closer look at our roofs and truthfully considering a helmet. A little bit of extra bracing can really go a long way. All I can say is, Thank God Bill is alright, because this was THAT bad... Hope your still feelin' good Billy and I didn't really say what Dave told you on the phone ahhahahahahha!

My prayers is with Bill and hopes he recovers quickly. I am very saddened to see this happen to a fellow buggy rider he is very lucky. It could have been a lot worse but the buggy can be replaced not a person. Please be careful out there guys and be safe and wear proper PPE.

Same here. that was a bad sight from the top of the hill.

From what I saw he did a back flip and landed on the driverside windshield frame then it barrel rolled 2 times after that and landed in the water. He was KO when the first guys got down there. I’m just glad it landed on the wheels because it took almost 5min to get the cam lock belt loose. The frame was bent so bad we broke the high lift jack trying to get it off the steering wheel. Some kids had to go back to camp to get a hack saw to cut it off the steering wheel. His wheel adaptor got bent causing the bolts to hit the caliper. We had to pull the wheel off and flip the adaptor so the wheel would turn. After doing this it was driven back to camp with no problems.

On a side note, that suby motor really impressed me. It was still running when I got down there.

Bill you will also need a new high lift jack among all the other obvious stuff.

Bill, Very glad to hear you are not seriously hurt.

Does anyone know what size tubing he was running on the roof supports?

We were talking on the way to his house from the hospital and he said his mission was to have it ready by memorial day. I think he can. He also said he will be putting an X brace between the front and rear seats, so all you 4 seaters that like to climb, PLEASE consider X bracing the center of the cab. I'm not a very religous person but I was the first person there and seeing what I saw the way he was positioned with the roof crushed, some one was looking out for him. I started to panic when I saw his condition, it's hard to see a good friend in that way. Thank you guys who all helped to get Bill to the ambulance and to get him buggy out of there.

Just wondering, has anyone on this tread reconsidered wearing a helmet? I always wear a helmet and all my passengers wear a helmet but I was wondering if anyone has changed thier minds after seeing Plumberbill's buggy.

It would really suck to loose someone in a crash...
