Howe Racing says EVERYONE'S pump is to small to work. My Subie pump wasen't going to work according to them. Works just fine. You might need to go to a larger hose from the pressure side of the pump to the steering box.

I think the pumps off a older Toyota Corolla or Camry flow about as much as any small pump and still make high pressure. They can be had for cheap out of the junkyard, give one a try and if it works buy a good one.

I went through the same thing.. tried several different pumps. Finally, I got one from a Toyota truck 22R (VERY easy to find), and it works perfectly. You can turn the pump @ 400 rpm (with a drill) and it STILL works perfectly...
