The VW club I belong to has RIley Hospital for Children in Indy as our main benefactor.

We redid a Bug and raffled it off this fall.
Bug was donated, members did the work.
Myself and a few other shops either gave or greatly discounted parts for this project.
Rasied about $5000 for the hospital after it was all said and done.

This is the guy that won the car on the left and our club VP.
He bought 1 ticket..........

I think it's admirable you donate to your favorite charity Curt.
We all should do that and more if we can.

i donate to purple hearts veterans,i always throw something in the the pot for salvation army in front of walmart. try this one sometime if your really in a festive giving mood, go through your favorite fast food drive through, pay for the guy behind you. i like to do this especially when i see kids in the car.sounds stupid but i'm sure it makes someone's day. for a worthy cause i will donate to a charity sponsored by woodsbuggy

My boss's wife is a teacher at one of the local elementary schools. Each year she gives us a list of kids who would otherwise not have a very merry Christmas. We normally "adopt" 2 or 3 kids each to buy gifts for. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I'd rather "see" my money go to the youngins who actually need it. I've heard of to many scams and charity abuse and honestly I don't know which ones are good or bad. This way I know where the money is going. Nothing feels better than to give the little'uns something to smile about come Christmas morning.

When I was 13, the Friday we got out of school for Christmas, our water heater blew up and it caught our house on fire. Luckily, our home was insured and we didn't need any help, but out of every organization out there, only The Salvation Army offered to help. Like I said, our parents were insured, so they were able to replace what was lost, but still.... For that reason, I ALWAYS give to The Salvation Army....... I was a Maternal/Child Nurse for a go-zillion years, too, and saw first hand the incredible work that St. Jude's Children's Hospital does..... THEY are awesome.... There are a LOT of really good and worthwhile charities out there, but those are the two that I regularily donate to. When y'all decide which charity you're gonna donate to in Woodsbuggy.com's name, be sure and post it and a paypal account.

I use to date a girl who worked at the Shriners Hospital in Lexington, KY. It's truly amazing what they do for kids who otherwise wouldn't have a chance.

Charities are a great thing and I always give at work we have United Way taken out of our checks. We also always hit the "bell ringers" might not be much but it helps. Just a thought what about a PRIDE RIDE get the different areas to set up rides with like a climb and hare scramble and maybe charge 10 dollars to ride and 20-25 to compete and give away a limited edition WOODSBUGGY shirt just for bragging rights. Just a thought youll get a little braggin rights and something few have and help out a worthy cause.

Thats My 2 Cents

Down here last year we were invited to GrayRock,,a normally 4wd park for a Toys for Tots ride. A $20 toy got you in the park. Wilborns did a TFT ride as well. I'm in. Someone could do a food drive with canned food,,etc. This would be good publicity. We could hook up with MDA, salvation army, ST. Judes, etc. We could do our next big event that may have no admission fee but rather food or toys. ,,,,I gotta get to work on my buggy

Every year my mother puts on a "meals-on-wheels" in her county. She prepares food for 150 people on average. With the help of people like me delivering and others donating she makes this all possible on Thansgiving, 2 days at Christmas, and New Years.
