Mine are both bent pretty badly. I have a good torsion that I am going to build a jig from. Then either repair or replace my pockets. I will send a jig to you. You are going to need it. What about cutting the old ones out and putting something stronger in there. Maybe you are a little to heavy for the stock pockets.

YOu got me thinking,,this is way off track but ,,If you run bags or coilovers , the pivot point could be moved to center of the torsion,,course the trailing arms would have to be modified but the wheels would stay perpendicular like Curts... just a thought,,,sorry

I was thinking the same thing. The only bad thing with it is that the cvs will not have enough play to not have the arch the pocket provides. The wheels will not arch when they go up and down, Right?

You can buy these aftermarket brackets from Pacific Customs for $10 each and they will work on a jig as well, that's how I got mine mounted. You can get them put on your current torsion housing by cutting out the old ones and then cut some metal out around it to fit the new ones, the do not require the pivot bolts, just a grade-8, 1-inch bolt w/nylock nut and washers, since part of the bracket will be covered on one side from the frame horns, I would weld the nut on that same side that way you can just run the bolt in it and you're done. Also all they require is just the bushings and the sleeve, you don't even need the stock washers. I think the best way to fix the problem is by cutting out the old housing and put in this aftermarket one, it will work alot better, it even has the splines inside of it to run your current torsion bars as well. You can run custom tubing anyway you want to make it work on your current transmission location.



You may not see a whole lot, but a least you can get an idea what it looks like. This is the bottom view of the brackets.

Oops....sorry, I stand corrected, I mean to weld a regular nut on the bracket that way you can use a washer and a lock washer to keep the bolt tight, if not, use a nylock nut just like the setup I am using. I guess that happens when you have too many Jack Daniels and Coke to drink
