Whats a good size for a ramp? I'm building a new H trailer with removable ramps.The lenght is going to be four feet long so I know. what I'm looking is a good width. I was thinking of 12" but it looks nerrow what are you guys running? Thanks, Dave |

My buddy Bird loads his 4x4 truck on back of a flat bed truck 4 feet off the ground with 2 pieces of 5ft 4in wide channel iron and he always makes it HA HA HA so i say a foot is plenty |

I dont use no stinkin ramp? i use a ditch to load an then just drive off no problems no lost ramps or strained back. I slip the truck down in 4 low b4 i get in the grass that way dont tear up any turf.  Ramps now thats a concept!  If i came up on the ramps with too much speed could I clear the truck? that would b cool

I thought of something like that only have the trailer neal down to make loading a little less dependent on Geographic lay out, but in the end ramps won out. |

k, 11.5" = 2x12 board size, buy a twelve footer, cut it twice then you will have 2 pcs for now, an 1 for l8ter
