im stumped how big of a tire can i run with a 1600 motor and a 3 rib bus trans with out killing the power thanks in advance i have a set of 35s too big or what please help thanks all |

i have ran 31 boggers in the past with good luck. the bigger tires would be nice for trails but might be a little to big for hillclimbing. DAREK |

I think the 3 rib is geared fine for 35's. But that tall and heavy a tire is tough on 3 ribs. I broke two 3 ribs running 35's behind a 2.2 suby. You will probably run out of motor if you attempt long steep hills. You could run the 35's until you get more power, or taller gear. That aint no bad combination for trails and right now you just need to ride.

I personally like the Firestone Flotation23 31x15.5x15. But I ride with a few that run Boggers 33x12.5x15 and have good results with them also. For what you have I would run the 31x15.5x15's I have run this size tire with a 3 rib and a 1641 with very good results. |

I was running the 31 X13" wide tires with a 3 rib then I switched to 15" wide tires temperarly (heavyer) and I noticed a big difference in the amount of power required to roll em. I was running 2165 and even with that size motor you could tell. Personally I think you would be better off with a shorter or narrow tire w/ a 1641. I also had that size motor in the rail with the 13" wide tires. It did well for what it was. |

i run the goodyear 4 ply tractor tread 31-15 and have had no problems at all, climb hills , trail ride whatever. l a products in copley has a truck load left $185 per tire |
