hey guys anyone know what size tube would best for a 31-15.5/15 v tread tire any opinions are appreciated

I went to my local Tire wharehouse and bought Firestone tubes that are for 31x15.50 Ag Tires.......they work great, just had to weld up the hole in my rim and redrill it to accomodate the tube where the valve stem was placed. I think they were like 13 bucks a piece. Also, they have the good valve stems with the threads and nut that locks it in place.

That is what I run also. They are a very tough tube. Worth every penny!

so this is my first time cutting and i was wondering how good the nobbies stay on this is what i did it looks a little choppy but on the front side of the tread it is almost down to the string and it is on some spots as far as the back side i left about an inch of the rubber on the back side are those nobbies going to hold you think or maybe should i stop they are 8 ply tires they seem tight on there now but when they spin is what i am worried about any input is appriciated

they will be fine. i took mine to the cords on both sides and never ran tubes.

so if they hold air which the one is completley cut now around 9 hours later and still holds air i should just leave them be and not put a tube in them i do not have beadlocks or welded rims like yours kyle do you still think i will be safe i just actually blew the tire off the bead last weekend coming out of a hill

I don't run tubes in the rear. My Firestone's are cut to the cord and I have one full riding season with no flats.

redneck beadlocks,drill and screw the rims then u wont have to worry about getin knocked off the rim,i think moroso sells rim screws

I use 4 per bead with black RTV on my street car would be a lot lighter than beadlocks. Summit part #SUM-G1496

and i didn't have beadlocks until now. i am talking about my other tires, cut to the cords straight rim with 5psi. no problems ever but you can do whatever a lot of people like tubes.

so does these cut tires really make a difference even if they are not firestones they look sweet but i just want the traction some of the simple shit i have troubles on i just spin without a chance to get a little hill i will have to say my hands are sore as hell and blistery but i think it might pay of after about 18-20 hours cutting time before anyone asks why about the hands i do not have a cutting tool so it was tough to do and it is a little choppy i will post pics of the cut tire tommorow REMEMBER it was my first time

That flat was a result of a bent wheel bead, not the tire.

still a flat hahaha can't wait to ride mike! damn my rail is getting close.

and to the other guy what the hell did you cut the tires with dude a razor blade haha

That is what the tube is for to save you if you bend a rim. See pic below. I rode all day onn that. And if you stick something thru the tube it is easy to change a tube if you run beadloc's or you can pull a valve stem thru your rim and plug the hole. Plus I can't tell you how many hr's I have spent in the woods helping guys get their tire pumped up because the bead came off. I have run them for years with no trouble.
