Well I broke my last steering box and I don't have another spare. Looking into options since steering boxes are getting hard to find. I have seen chevy to Saturn Ion and some really weird looking ones off who knows what. Looking for ideas and pictures if you have them of how you have it set up. Thanks The Wild Kids |

You can buy a brand new TRW steering box for 89 bucks. I have seen them on sale for that. |

My dad had a rack & pinion on the one of his. It sucked. It was a 14in turn i think. I would say it had half the turn of a VW. |

you need to stick with a chevy none power steering box and if you want power steering just get the one for power this is what im running and you cant break it im running 38 12.50 on the front of my buggy and it does a great job.plus you can buy them at auto zone and rebuild them to thats a plus in my book and all you have to do is cut the end off you old pitman arm and weld it to the chevy arm... We use chevy s10 truck or blazer and have never broke one mines been on for atleast four years and I was breaking one every ride with stock vw junk,I picked mine up at a junkyard for $50.00.heres one pic I will try to get better pics for you aaron

ive been doing this for sometime on costumers buggy's now and havent had any probs with them ...it works realy well dont it feels almost like you have power steering

I think all the ones we have bought were from 80`s models but pretty sure if its manual it will work. aaron |

yeah anything manual will work but the chevy has less time on mounting it but yes as long as its manual it should work fine |
