I wanted to start a thread about all of your other hobbies and interests other than woods buggies. Here are a couple of mine.

I drive an off road Rally Cross car a couple times a year. I built this car about 7 years ago to race in the 2wd class at a local closed course. My cars name is the "Mudstang" It's a blast to say the least. That is my buddy Russell on the right.
For more information on the track itself you can check it out on the web at:

One other hobby I have is working on blown alcohol race cars. I have a very good friend that has a top alcohol funny car and we used to race quite a bit. I have been helping him work on it for quite some time. I even took a leave of absence from work a few years back to go out on the road for a whole summer. We ran the whole 2003 season in the IHRA circuit and finished 4th. overall in points that year. (Yeah it's got a hemi)

Nice pics, Roy! Except for the close up of you and your buddy, that was kinda scary! :D J/J!

My other hobbies are:
: helping my sons (12 and 8 yrs old) race their R/C 1/8 scale nitro and 1/10 scale electric....you guessed it....buggies.
: auto collision repair (makes money to build my buggies and kids r/c's)
: drinking beer & workin on buggies
: rebuilding & selling wrecks (makes money for trailers, pullvehicle, etc)
: drinking beer & talkin about buggies
: pulling frames for other rebuilders (makes money to fix buggies and buy fuel for pullvehicles)

So I guess playin' with my kids, buggies, and beer is about it.

Im pretty much into anything with wheels, and spend most of my free time at our warehouse messing with them. Buggies, muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, and even golf carts. I collect minature cars. Anything from Matchbox to 1/8 scale RC cars. I think last count a couple of years ago I was at a little over 500. I also love to go camping. Which will work out great once the baja is done :D

I don't think this is really a hobby but this is where my most of my money is going for the next few years. I drove to Toledo today to pick my daughter up. On the way home she told me how much she is enjoying the scuba class she is taking this semester.
Hey buddy can ya spare a dime?

I feel ya man. I put my son through Automotive school about 6 years ago. Heck, that was only a year and a half. That was bad enough. Now all he works on is those dang "Tuner Cars". Good money in it though.

Hobbies are way to many. My son and I have several RC toys and one on the way, elec truck, Nitro 4wd buggy, 82" wingspan plane, twin engine elec plane. I still try to airbrush every now and then, Competition shooting, IDPA, 3 gun matches, 1000 yard matches. I am the Cub Scout District Activities and Civic Services Chairman. Lets not forget the buggy also. It isn't a hobby but my son and partner (he's 8) is my main thing in life and he keeps me going when I am down and recovering from treatments.
