Is batteries just batteries or is there some better than others. I know about cranking amps. But is there a difference between them? I looked last night at several different ones and they had the same cranking amps but were almost $30 difference in them.
Thanks guys

I dont know. I usually just buy a Wally world battery. Most of the time I never keep anything long enough for that battery to need to be replaced. I can see spending some money on an optima battery for a buggy though. I just feel like they would hold up alot better in a rollover.

i agree w/ flabaja. i run what i get but i need to invest in a good battery. imma about to buy a sound system battery. about 150 bux. but they are worth it. i had one then sold it to my buddy. i kept the radio in when i changed batteries and then i ran it down so quick.

Been using Interstate Batteries for the past 4 years and they don't hold up for me. Don't know why but they won't last but a little over a year and I need another one. This one lasted right at a year and it won't hold a charge at all.

Those things about the regular batteries is that they cannot be mounted on its side or upside-down, that is why they go bad often when you have them on the buggy when they are bouncing hard, cutting corners hard and going up and down hills at extreme angles. They are loaded with sulfuric acid in liquid form and slosh arond like water. The Optima battery can handle these things very well because they are gel-filled and they don't slosh around inside like the regular ones do.
