FYI Cell phone numbers going public tomorrow REMINDER....all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies tomorrow and you will start to receive sale calls. ....YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number. HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS. It take about 20 seconds. |

if you are getting calls on your cell--it was explained to me like this. at some point in time when you filled out papers and they ask for phone numbers, you put down your cell # ( it could be something as simple as getting your car worked on--you give em your cell # to call you when its done ) They enter the number in their system, later they sell their list to telemarketers--thats when you get the calls. If you tell them its a cell they're not supposed to call anymore. |

I hadn't heard of a deadline on this but I learned of the National DO NOT CALL LIST from a personal experience with a telemarketer. I had been receiving telemarketer calls on my cell phone for about a month and the last one I received I told them to take me off their list and they told me I would need to go register with the National DO NOT CALL LIST. I did and so far I haven't received any more telemarketers calls. |
