i started my new motor to day things started out bad the case i was going to us was cracked i wish i would have seen it befor i hade it line bored so i had to buy a new super case.we got the cam and rods all clarened the best part is no parts to clean every thing will be new.ill post pics of each step should bee done by sunday |

Depends on your buget,you can get a 84mm crank for 250-275,but to get a 90mm full circle it cost more.You can get a 84mm DPR for $360 |

we used a mic and took the same amount off each side its some thing like 7 tho. |

When the cam needs to be clearanced ---why not mill it flat instead of grinding? Wouldn't that be easier to keep it balanced? Just asking - i have not had any larger crank than 82mm. Mark |

The notch is so close to the centerline of the camshaft I don't think balance is an issue. Never heard of anyone balancing a cam. Besides that the lobes would have more effect on balance than a notch ever could. The cam only turns half crankshaft speed too. I'd more concerned about other parts being in balance. I agree. The camshaft has such a small amount of rotating mass that it does not matter. Get it fairly close and it will be fine. |
