I have a 1976 rear tor. that i am useing for my build and i need to know how to shorten the tor. tubes.To get bigger tires.Can you buy shorter tor. bars?

Replace them with a set from a swing axel setup. They use shorter torsions and the caps are flush. You will need to use the swing axel spring plates and shorten them to fit your IRS trailing arms.

If you have the money buy extended trailing arms and you dont have to fabricate anything.Plus they will give your buggy a nicer ride.
