Dean did you ever find out why your motor would not start unless you moved the distributor

Its possiable that your distributor drive is broke and just hold enough to work but moves on you. Or maybe the brass gear is rotating back and forth on the crank.

As I have said before I have very limited knowledge when it comes to engines. But I put in two dist's and they acted the same. Which leads me to belive it has something to do with the brass gear. I think this is my third year on that motor and with the exception of rings because my airfilter had a tear in it I haven't done anything to it. I am shocked that it has held together at all considering how often I wind the hell out of it.

I might be done for awhile also. Have to get this motor out this week, was going to last week but got that damn stomach virus and didn't do anything for 4 days. Once the motor is out trany is getting rebuilt and then the boy wants to paint the buggy Red, White and Blue. So I am thinking that I will do some Airbrush work on the inside of the roof and a Flag for him and the rest of the buggy Blue again. So prep for paint and all I will be down for awhile.

If you aren't doing anything stop over. I was to show you what I built last night. And we can figure out what we need toinstall Cyles airbags. I have to go to the fabshop tomorrow and get some stuff cut.
