I am working on my 4 seat build and am to the point of making cable mount for both clutch and throttle. I would like to hear some of your ideas on the ways to run cables. ---run thru plastic tube thru a metal tube, pulleys? ---- for stock style pedal box. Thanks for input. Mark

I replaced the hook for my clutch with a arm and ran a 5/16 3/8 rod to a bellcrank for the clucth no cable to break no high dollar hyraulics Heim joint i believe were a gift at the time speedway sell a cable housing for throttle cable works sweet

can youget a pic of the clutch belcrank set up?

I did that back in the late 1980s. I just ran a straight rod back to a bellcrank on brackets welded to the torsion. The bel crank lines up your lines of pull and allows ratio changes so you can get it dialed in just drill a line of holes on the arms of the belcrank and move your rods to change ratio it is straight forward engineering.

I like that idea Kendal posted, sounds cool, But I used light weight steel pipe about 2" long 3/8 I.D , two of them stacked ontop of each other ( 0ne for each cabel ) then the pipe has a piece of flat metal welded around it with tabs about 2" I screwed these to the tubing between the seats, I have these placed about every 18" or so. My reason for not running it in a solid pipe was to keep debris & water out of the tubing which will deteriate the cabels.

Nothing beats a morse cable for the throttle. There are plenty of mounting brackets and ends avalable for them. They can be adjusted and with the easy clasp can be removed for lubing etc. I have had mine fo 3 years and lubed it once. For the clutch go Hydraulic. I realize this approch is more expensive than cables however once done you ride.
