just had this answered for me 
http://forum.woodsbuggy.com/viewtopic.php?t=2374 yes stock axles with 2x3 and 19 1/4 axles with 3x3. which is better i think depends on how wide or long you want it. i am going with 2x3 because i can run stock axles and because it will fit on my trailer still haha i can't afford the extra 2 more inches wide heh. |

That is the main reason the 2x3 arms were developed. They allow you to use an inexpensive pair of stock Bus axles. NOTE: 3x3 arms will not necessarily make your buggy wider if you ran a different offset wheel with them. |

Stock sedan axles are 16-1/4", too short for any extended arm.. Some bus axles are 18-3/4", just right for 2x3s Some bus axles are 19-1/4", just right for 3x3s |

When you ask which are better it depends on what your trying to do. Most of the pros for 2x3 have been mentioned but one of the upsides with 3x3 (with the right parts) is more wheel travel, how... you will have a wider range of travel from you cv's allowing more wheel travel. |

Also a type 4 cv will allow nearly as much as 930 and fit bus flange. Ebay for early 80's Porsche 924 and 944. Someone help me with this if I'm wrong.
