Hey all I still hang around here from time to time. :?: My rail just do'nt want to run when it gets cold out. It just spits and sputters like ass. The problem is the intake frosts over so bad. I am running a stout 1835 with a single 44 idf. I have it dialed in perfect and runs awesome at 50 degrees and above from there down like shit. I have adjusted everything many times to no advantage Is there something I am overlookng or is it just that when you run dual carbs there is just know extra travel time for the heat loss because your carbs are pretty much directly over your heads :?: I also run a 6 by 9 inch air cleaner with typical uni filter and a cover makes no difference. ANY IDEAS :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Have you checked for condensation in your distributor? Maybe cracked.
Good luck

yes I checked everything many times and before any says heat tubes let me say it is a trimill exhaust so no ports there. A few years back I had a stocker with a progressive carb done the same thing and I ended up takin old stock heat tubes cut them down turn upside down weld them where your stock ones should be and drilled them and fabbed some other shit it seemed to work. But the idf is off centered and can not find correct size tubes to fit that intake Without butchering things up.

Mine has always done the same thing. Single dell w/tri mill, no heat tubes. Will not run worth a damn in cold weather.
