My son called me yesterday after he got back to Colorado. He said before the plane took off the flight attendant asked how many soldiers were on board the plane. There was 5. Then five people gave up their seats to them in first class.
Also he bought coffee and a snack at Starbucks and was told that soldiers didn't have to pay.
I am proud of my son and proud to be an American.

I had a similar thing happen to me when I was coming home from Desert Storm in 92'. Went to one of the coffe/snack shops and they let us have our stuff and wouldn't take payment for it. Made me proud that things have changed since the Vietnam war era and the way the soldiers were treated coming home. My dad was killed in Vietnam so I never knew him. Tell your son we are all proud of him.

Glad to hear it Dean, remember also there is alot of GOOD things happening over in Iraq which the men and women of the armed services are doing that the media NEVER talks about......because it may not get you to tune back in @ 6pm.
