This might not be appropriate here, but I'm doin it anyways. Just to let everyone know what a HELLUVA guy Chicago Willie is. Most folks already know it, though.

He sold my 13 yr old son his red inline buggy for a fraction of what it was worth. Pretty much a complete buggy except for rear wheels and tires. Fresh counterweighted 1915 w/ dual 40's, good three rib , 2x3's, CNC cutter, hydro pedals, Sentra calipers, "The works" for a first buggy. I'm not rich, so it was gonna have to be up to my boy to come up with a fullsized rail out of his own pocket. He's selling his mini rail and a couple other toys, and Willie knew about how much money the boy would have to work with, so thats what he sold the inline to him for. (And he let him take the rail before my son has sold his mini!!) Probably half of what he could have sold it for if he held out 'til spring. He even made my son a deal on a set of old 4 plies, just for my son to cut another set for Willie, that were already half done.

I will be forever grateful to him for this. We would have been a couple years at least to build my son up into a rail of this quality. Willie is top notch in my book.

Y'all need to go ride with him at his place, too. Couldnt ask for a better host, and he's gotta a good riding spot!

Larry

He seems like a good guy eventhough I have never met him. I'm sure it makes him feel good inside to see your son face with a big smile, knowing that he took a loss to make a kid happy. I know i feel good when I help kids out. That goes to show you that there are still good people in this world.
Kudos to you, WildWillie!!!!

I have to add to this....

We were down at D&K over Memorial Day, didn't really know anyone there except from this site. My buddy had the worst luck and had a branch go right in between his skid plate and head and ripped out all of his pushrods and we had no spares. No sooner did we get back to our camp and this guy shows up and asks if we need any parts because they were running to London to get some. It happened to be 'Chicago Willie'. He took my buddies there and got the parts in no time.

Point is, Willie is a great guy and if I lived closer, I'd ride with him every weekend!
