Me and a few other buggies are looking to come down to Ohio memorial day weekend 2016. Would like to get some info on places to camp, where the best place to enter the trails is , where to park etc etc etc. Who would be the guy or gal to talk to? Been watching videos of all the buggies in Ohio for a long time. Finally going to get our crew together and get down there. I cant wait.

There are 2 places visitor's can park. The first is the Free Zone at the base of Yellow Creek Campground. Its free and quite a few people will be parked there on that weekend so come early. The other is the Forbidden Zone on the top of hill. Access is off route 7 to route 213. It costs 10 bucks a day. It will also be packed so again get there early. Stay in touch and I am sure people will show you around. My advise is get a guide that knows the trails as it is fairly easy to get tripped up there and end up in a bad place.

Thanks Ody. Is there an address to those two parking areas I could plug into the GPS? Also is one better then the other ? It would be cool to get a guide for the day. Im sure there will be many people there that we could just follow around. I would love to see some of these hills you all climb in person

There are no address's that i know of. For the Free Zone I would just use Clark Intermodal. Once your at Clark intermodal you keep following the road all the way back. There is a road to the right just before the Campground entrance. For Forbidden Zone use rte7 and 213 on your GPS. There are "Forbidden Zone" signs posted on the roads to get you into the area. Once your on the dirt road just keep going till you get to the top. There is a small office trailer at the top of the hill. Will not be hard to find as it will be packed.

Ok. Thank you. Can we get to the main trails from the forbidden zone without having to load everything up and haul it ? Also as for directions im coming from Lancaster PA which is pretty much straight east from Wellsville. So would I set a course for the town of Wellsville then find the roads to the campground or is there a better way? Thanks again for all the help. We are really excited about riding with and meeting some of the people that ride there.

We ride in Pottsville PA. Coal hills. We are going to camp in the forbidden spot. I talked to my crew last night. Directions to there would be great. I will let you know if something changes but as of now we have 4 buggies coming and some side by sides and a few quads. Will be a good time for sure.

Ok. So we drove down to the Forbidden Zone yesterday the 27th to check it out. It was pouring rain but all looked cool. I think we passed scobby hill on the way in but im not sure. Anyway looks like we will be coming down in may to ride with you all. One question..... We have a couple people that run side by sides and do not like to climb big hills. Is there '' easy '' ways around stuff ? We would like to trail ride and check out all these hills and places you guys are always talking about. Just wanted to make sure I could bring my whole crew. Of course there is some of us that want to try these hills also    Thanks Guys for all the help.
