I have a water cooled buggy and I love having the extra horsepower. However, I think it will be hard to find a water cooled buggy that can out climb an air cooled buggy.

We will see what happens this weekend at Wildcat. It will be a battle between air-cooled and water-cooled as Mike, Matt and Joe battle it out

Holy antique thread resurrection Batman. Fear and common sense prohibit me from ever knowing what my own buggy is truly capable of so I'm not saying wc or ac, dig them both. I've always held to the thinking that shot placement is more important than caliber so with that I believe driver skill can overcome a lot. Bubba out. :)

Can't believe i just read all of those posts. Lol.

Thanks madmike for the history lesson.

Seems that back then, only a few years ago people were super against wc and ac was the only way to climb. And there was only a few wc people back then too.

I'm suprise how many of us now have water cooled motors and opened our minds to it. Even if they still have ac at least we all get along. (Mostly)

I'll tell you I'm pretty new to buggies only recently purchased one a year and a half ago and I definitely enjoyed my 1835.

However I like to stick with the technological curve of things trying different things and learning what works and what doesn't.

The old saying goes "If it ain't broke dont fix it" but if we never took leaps like these we would always be stuck on old technology doing things less effectively.

Not saying anything bad about ac. They are definitely still the kings of hill climbing... but maybe not for long...
