So I've pulled the trigger on building my buggy with an ecotec.

So far I've got the 2.4 and everything I need to get her runnung.

6 rib 1st and 2nd weddle gears and German superdiff. With a torsion bar for the trans.

S0 now I need a clutch and pressure plate.

I was recommended a #2100 pressure plate and a stage 2 clutch with a 4 puck.
What are you thoughts on this setup?
Any other suggestions?

I went to Kennedy's web page first, it explains what you need for the rated HP you have. for my stock 2.4 the web page recommends stage 1 with a 6 puck, I called them to confirm then ordered it..
Now I would go with a stage 1 pp with a cushlock disk.. More forgiving and you can slip it a bit, where the 4/6 puck is more like on/off...

if you go with the cush loc I would recommend the h d rigid instead...ive always ran the cush but the last one I got was a lot thinner and cheap. I took it back and got the hd rigid and its the same as old cush lok....I run a stage 2 with it and it takes all the abuse I give it, and very smooth

I can't seem to find a "cush lock" clutch or pressure plate.

Not really sure which you were referring to I've never had to source a clutch or pressure plate before.

Secondly do I need a 200 mm or 228mm?
or am I looking at the wrong thing? Lol.

Phil at phills bug shop recommended kennedy clutch and an empi pressure plate.

If you read my last post I mentioned I'm more of a trail rider but I'm normally shifting beetween 1st and 2nd through the trails pretty quick.

I'm really just wanting to save my trans from grenading itself. And if I can find a setup that is easy on reverse that would be good too.

If you guys have any links too what I would need that would be awesome. I feel lost looking at there Web page.

If all else fails I will give them a call tomorrow morning and talk to someone personally. Thanks for the info guys.

I have a Honda 3.2 and run a 228 mm with a Stage 1 and hd disc from Kennedy Engineering. It is perfect you need a little slip when your pushing 235 horse at the rear wheels
