I am having a hell of a time finding out if any LS motor has the same bell housing bolt pattern as a 95 Chevy 3.1L V6. I have spent hrs on Google and cant seem to find the info i need. If anyone has info plz let me know. I appreciate it much! |

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ ... g_patterns Looks like the 3.1 is a metric pattern same as the 5.3L LS4 V8 But LS1 is same as 4.3l but not 3.1L ......... IMO "Don't believe everything you read on the Internet."--Abraham Lincoln |

The LS and older v8 are nearly the same A powerglide or TH350/400 will bolt right up to any LSx motor, except the front wheel drive applications. There is a top center bolt on the LS that's not on the old school stuff. Only difference. You do need to space the LS flexplate out from the crank flange, though. |
