Hey, guys just wanted to start out with a thanks for adding me in the forum. I just recently traded my 660 raptor and my Honda fourtrax for my first buggy. It has a 6 rib tranny and a 2165cc engine runs pretty good had it out for about three weekends now. Well anywho I went down to the old hills and hollers now known as mud madness in Lockport ky. It started out alright then I hit a bank off of a creek bed and ripped the bold and grommet out of my right shock tower, so that sucked then a shortly after that I went up a pretty sweet hill climb but during the crest of the hill a rock hit the back of my oil filter smashed it and I lost all my oil in the middle of the trail had to have a razor tow me back to camp. I guess I consider this lucky oil filters are cheap and so are grommets and bolts but I looked at tractor supply and couldn't find a matching grommet to fit In the hole any ideas where I could get one? Any help will be appreciated thanks.

My advice is to find or build a rear cage for your buggy that would save your oil filter

I actually have a oil filter relocater installed so I guess I don't really need this one. Lol. But yes there was a rear cage there but looks as If it has been ripped off or removed by previous owner, think I'm getting one installed within a week or two. Looks like around 200 to 300 for a rear cage. Thanks.

This is going to sound, bad. But I didn't even notice I didn't have one until i broke something. Lol. But I talked to a guy on here who will help me build a new rear cage.

X2 - A well built cage is critical. Make sure it covers your push rod tubes as well.

Will do. Putting a new filter and shock on it this weekend. After that I'm putting it in the shop for a new rear cage and adjusting my pedals steering wheel and possibly swapping a new shifter in.
