Here is a pic of my tubing bender. It uses JD2 dies. The one that is in there is a 2" die being pushed by a 3" dia x 24" stroke hyd. cylinder. Should be ordering a 1.5" by 6.5" Radius die by Monday.

im thinking of buying a tube bender. because i hate barrowing other peoples so what are some good benders. i do alot of fabrication so i need somthing reliable thanxs for the input |

I have a pro tools 105hd that I'm pleased with. I didn't get the hydraulic conversion due to the price difference. I haven't had to bend up a whole chassis yet but I have bent a decent bit of little stuff. The only thing I don't like about it is the bender stop isn't a very good setup. John |

check out " JD SQUARED" on gooogle search. They just moved to Johnson city, Tn from somewhere in Fl. They make a really nice product that works great! I have a number 4 bender from them that is air over hydrolic and I love it! Works GREAT! |

I also have the JD squared bender, but I think its a called a number 3. Its manual, but the hydraulics can be added. Awesome looking bends. Can hardly tell where they stop and start on the dies. The bender was only about $300, but the dies are where they get ya. A couple buddies and me went in on it, got a 1" and 1 1/2" dies, the stand, the handle and the degree wheel. It all came up to about $900. Plus they give you a pretty decent bending calculator program for your computer. You can download a smaller version of that for free anyhow. Bend-Tech EZ I think its called. Got it from Van Sant Enterprises. Larry |

I know a couple people that have the number 3 bender. they also love theres. I talked to Bob at JD2 today when I picked up another die, and he was telling me how ProTool bender is based off of the num 3. Also if you own a number 3 and want to trade it in towards a num 4, they will give you the cost of the num 3 towards the num4. I also got to see the" Beast", an awsome notcher that can do offset notches. By doing offsets you can decrease the weld area and increase strength of tube. |
