I just googled my home number and found it shows name and adress. NOT HAPPY to see that. There is an option to delete it, I would suggest it. I googled a random number from craigslist and it showed name and address with a map it option. My concern is that someone sees your add and googles the number. They can get enough info to show up and take it while your sleeping or at work. Now I understand why people were complaining about google, the were saying you can take virtual tour of anybodys yard in 360 degrees. That virtually shopping for theives to find where the good stuff is.
Just my two cents, Steve

You can do a reverse lookup on any of the phone number websites too.

Anywho.com
yellowpages.com
etc.

You can also go to REVENUE COMMISSIONER on line in your county and find how big a persons house is,there address and what's the property value.

My home number was never in the phone book, has not been for 25 years and I checked it online and it shows "number not available" so I think if you take your number off the books, it will eventually come off the search grid. I have been worried about this since Google came online and soon put on that Google Earth like he was talking about, BUT I looked at my location and it won't even zoom in close enough to see my house, you can zoom in very close only if you are in or near a major city.

I found a website that if you type in a licence plate number you can find out all kinds of info. I found out what this guy owed on his truck and his house. Just think what someone who was not a complete idiot like myself could find. C'mon guys we all read 1984 in high school. I would tell you all the website but we have to worry about Curt finding it. It sucks that we have to fear our IT guy.

Yep, thats strange/scrarry.. I guess the only good thing is that you have to pay for most of the info... Thanks Dave T

Crap, y'all are right! I just googled my phone number and it gave my husband's name, our address and even provided a handy map so that the thieves won't be inconvienced by having to stop and ask for directions..... This is not good..... On the bright side.........I have guns and KNOW HOW TO USE THEM......

If you go to Google Earth and type in your address it will show you your house.......It is free... Of course, my address, if you google earth it, always shows a house about a block away...... I like that.....but if I put in my phone number, it gave absolutely dead-on accurate directions..... I'm not liking that so much.......

When you google your # & click on the results & then map & look for street view. I've done a few of my friends and not all of them shows a street view.
