What started the fire? I'm in demolition for a living and always cleaning up burnt buildings and houses and I'm always paranoid about stuff in my garage like welding and leaving cords plugged in all the time. There usually electrical problems that start them

Sorry holeman! my dads house burned to the ground about 4 years ago, started in the garage caused by cordless drill battery charger plugged in without battery in it. Lost his 1975 MGB along with goodies acquired over the years, Tools, fishing poles, camping equip etc... Sorry again :(

Man that sucks big time. I was a firefighter for a little over 20 years and always felt sorry for the folks that have to deal with the aftermath of a fire. Two things you should be grateful for, the first is no one got hurt and second is the garage wasn't attached to the house. Good luck picking up the pieces and moving forward.

That really sucks.. Glad you were able to find another buggy to play with..

After reading this thread, I am going to go unplug all my battery chargers and fans in my garage.

I took all the battery's loose in our buggies since they stay in the basement. Our house burnt a few years ago due to a short in the dish washer

I've wrecked a few from dishwashers, solution for that is the old fashion style dish washers but they start to nag and complain after a while lol
