Last year my brother purchased a full set of Jamar disk brakes for his buggy. They squeaked pretty bad right from the beginning. We tried everything to get the squeaking to stop. He got a new set of pads from Karteck and it took care of the problem (I don't remember if Karteck warrantied the pads or not). I purchased the same set as he did and had the same problem. I figured that if happened once it was a fluke. Now that it happened twice in a row I know there is an issue. I called Jamar direct and explained the problem. They said that the kits come with a general purpose pad and work good in the sand. I told them I don't care where you run them, they shouldn't squeak. Their solution, sell me a set of premium pads at the discount price of $130.00. If you sell a crappy pad that squeaks out of the box you should warranty it. No integrity in my book!

Thanks for sharing that. That's why ALL my buggies are built from Pull A Part. Ex. . if the Passat needs brake pads I go to the Merc Cougar row. Baby chain buggy, the GM Monty Carlo row and so on. And put some old 1/2 wo out pads in my pocket. A/c buggys have 80's Mercedes rear. They are identical to VW type 3 front, but slightly bigger. I despise Chineese Cheese.

Hey Passat,
when i read your post..to me you made it sound like you went to pull-a-part and stole some brake pads...Quote :"and put some 1/2 wo out pads in my pocket":  ...lol....just sayin...
Maybe its just me, but thats what it seems like your saying in your post..You might want to change the way you said that...No-one likes a thief..Understand,,im not calling you a thief..thats just the way it sounded..

I despise a thief. I walk up with relays, wheel bearings, radiator clamps, lug nuts and they wave me on. They are just interested in components apparently. And talk about dishonesty! I call the 1-800 number of Pull a Part and they say they will give me $700 for an old truck at the Bham scale. After you tow the vehicle off and the fork lift gets it and it's gone, the cash window denies all that and you get about $300 or less. They get $75+ when they torch the cadillac converter off. I guess they charge us vehicle disposal fees. They are not worried about some wo out pads. You say... But! But! But! the 1800 number guy said $700! The cash window guy looks over your shoulder and says , "Next". I always thought the International Date Line was a 1-900 number. lol

Do not talk to people in Indiana. They grow corn and other stuff along both sides of their 400 mile interstate 65 and make us think they are feeding a nation. I get the good Del Monty and Green Giant corn from the shelf here at the store in downtown bham. Do not take me seriously, lol

Passat,
thats funny as hell man.. ..however...very little of the corn grown in Indiana is used for food..most of it is used in the production of ethanol..as far as I know..all your Del-Monty and green giant corn is grown in places like Florida,california...now, Im not sure what they grow in Bama...other than that kickass hippy lettuce that ya'll smoke...how bout twistin one up and we can toke about it !..lol...
