Whats up with the welding and fabricating required part? Are the arms or bearing housing not put together?

The fabrication is probably for your brake setup I think the bearing housing isn't welded in so u can set the angle how u want it but not sure

I would say the welding/fab work is for shock mounts and brakes if your caliper mounts dont bolt on. I'm sure the bearing housings are welded in. you would need a jig if they were not. I havent seen any problems with empi axles cv's or stubs. I would say you need to clean up/polish the cv's just like you would with a german lobro cv. I havent broke one yet, and I know alot of the guys I race with run them and I havent heard of them breaking anything.

what sucks is i bought all new stuff from appletree...3x3 kit with everything...put axles and cvs in and they had a ton of slop...sent cvs back and new set was the same...sent axles back and same problem with new set. ended up buying 4 lobros and they fit the spines great

I have broken two EMPI stub axels right at the face of the flange. Could be from over tightening them however I do not have that issue with a VW T1/930 conversion stubs.

Same here. Broke an Empi stub where the outer bearings are. And I only have 100 HP. Now I'm running the T1 converted to 930 that Todd Francis makes.

I havent had a problem out of the axles or cvs,i polished and clocked the cvs.but my stub broke right behind the castle nut, only thing that held my wheel on was the caliper. Now my match to the set is a spare! These are bus ,not 930 tho
