Dodge 2.2 Turbo engine pulled from pull-a-part. Running Megasquirt fuel injection. Been running this engine for at least 5 years.

I'm in the process of putting a 1998 2.4L Chevy twin cam in a 4 seater now. It will be running on Megasquirt as well. Why you may ask ? Because I only payed $100.00 for it with the adapter and MS1. Hey, it's 150 horsepower.

I can only imagine what you had into the 2800 type IV

$6,000.00 in the long block. The Keith Black custom Chrysler 400 pistons and Porsche heads weren't to bad but the Bergman perfect circle crank was $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Started with my first rail 9 yrs ago 1835. Then 1915,then I built a 2275 with dual carbs. I got Frank Herring set carbs. Now in a 4 seater with a different 2275, that my father had built yrs ago by a bug shop in Bham al. It's still running strong. Just been freshened up. I've got another 2275 setting on table with dual carbs for my 1 seater. If it ever gets finished.

I like how my wallet feels when I pull up to the pump and pay for 87 octane and can still make 265 horse power and get 20+ mpg. WC = gas savings compared to an AC with a carb.

Maybe when I get the big government money I can get back into an air cooled engine. My wallet lacks the pocket cotton to build a 2500cc besides why would I want to basically grind a perfectly good cam near about in half to clearance it
