We were wanting to get your thoughts on a possible team event. We were thinking of letting teams of 2 buggies compete on 10 hills for best overall time. It would be like best ball in golf lol! The best time between teammates on each hill would count towards the total. We think this would be an awesome comp and lots of fun. Just let us know what y'all think. |

That's great, but I have concocted events in the past and I could not sell ice water in hell. I've learned to just let people be people. Bring the masses and let them concoct their own game and they will have a throw down. Just provide the atmosphere. You bring chocolate almond marshmallow ice cream and they want heavenly hash. Same thing except no walnuts. One neg thing , there is 6000 acres at the coalberg exit. Only payouts make them go 25 more miles down. I hate to tell the truth, but that's how it is with buggies. Bottom line is , we put our blinker on at the Coalberg exit and 30 miles down the interstate is the big Biscuit. Ride here ... free...30 miles down the road is a pay gate. This was so hard to type, but I have been trying to please people since the 80's. I build a Passat fwd motor buggy and I tell them this is the beginning of the beginning, just a prototype. Please improve on it. But no! That is exactly why the Germans had the 1st operational jet. The British tried to demonstrate it to American generals but they were too wound up on propellers. |

I don't think there's enough 1 seaters to pair with 2 seaters , so that rule would eliminate several buggy that might won't 2 enter , I could be wrong ! Posted using the WoodsBuggy Mobile App |

do you pick your own team mates and does each team mate run each hill or do they alternate at each hill ultimately running 5 hills each with time totaled for all 10 hills? also whats the stakes? |

You would pick your own teammate. Both team members would hit the same hill and the one with the best time would count towards your total. We will probably only allow 1 one seater per team. I don't think it would be fair to have 2 of them running on the same team. |

No segregation please , lol , it might cause a hiccup in entrys if you use a pair 1&2 seaters only rule , cause we have more 2 seaters around here than 1 seaters , so if you allow pick your partners , & then say they can only have a ? Seater , maybe it should be whoever you choose , not what they drive , or you maybe need to put all the entrys in a hat and draw names & call it the hard luck hillclimb ! :grin I don't care either way , but some people take it like its their last will & testament ! I think you should just pick a partner and then go pick what buggies you want to drive |

whats the entry fee and is there anything to be won at the end? if its the same 10 hills used at the last event i only know of about 4 or 5 two seaters in bama that can make all 10 hills, not knocking anybody's buggy but from what i understand kevin thomas was the only 2 seater in attendance that made all 10 the last time, just saying also if there are 10 teams thats 20 buggys x 10 hills = 200 climbs not to mention setup and move time from one hill to the next, thats why ask about alternating at each hill with each team member doing 5 hills each |

No wonder the hill climb competitions turned into a failure of sorts.... I say, I say, I say!!!! I say let the park that offered to put on event decide what they want to do! |

Let's be clear. This is not the official woodsbuggy.com hill climb scheduled in March. The event in March will be a traditional hill climb race with a qualifying run to determine three classes ( A,B,C). Each class will race against each other on an appropriate hill to determine the winner of the class. Payouts will be determined by the class and the number of participants The goal of the woodsbuggy hill climb is for everyone (all types of buggies and all levels of drivers) to compete and have fun. Although, I do like passats idea. Posted using the WoodsBuggy Mobile App |
