me and a buddy built him a 1641 couple years ago everything was reworked or new except he didn't have the money to rework his heads but it ran like a top for 2 years. till couple months ago he for some stupid reason entered it in a sound off at a local vw show and helt it to the floor for awhile. Now it is oiling one plug terrible and it is getting extremely hot on the same head and doesn't run good at all.Could it be the head or is it a ring broke.any advice would be greatly appreciated because he wants me to fix it for him.and its deer season now don't want to be breaking a motor apart taking up my time unless yall don't think its the head

Its not the head that is causing the oiling issue obviously. Probably numerous issues. Pull it apart and mark it is a lesson learned for being, um... A (insert not so nice word here)!
